Fix “Untrusted Developer” on iPhone
When you open an IPA app installed via Sideloadly, iOS blocks it with “Untrusted Developer”. You need to trust the certificate once in Settings.
Quick Fix (3 steps)
- 1. Settings → General → VPN & Device Management
- 2. Tap your Apple ID email under Developer App
- 3. Tap Trust [Apple ID] → confirm
Detailed Steps
- 1
Open Settings on your iPhone
Tap the Settings icon on your iPhone home screen.
- 2
Go to General
Scroll down and tap General.
- 3
Tap VPN & Device Management
Scroll to the bottom of the General page and tap VPN & Device Management.
- 4
Find your Apple ID under Developer App
Look for the Developer App section. Your Apple ID email address appears here after installing an IPA via Sideloadly. Tap it.
- 5
Tap Trust
Tap 'Trust [your Apple ID]'. A confirmation dialog appears — tap Trust again.
- 6
Open the app
Go back to your home screen. Tap the IPA app (PoGo or MHN). It should now open without the Untrusted Developer error.
Common Questions
I don't see 'Developer App' in VPN & Device Management
The Developer App section only appears after installing at least one IPA via Sideloadly. If it's missing, the IPA may not have installed correctly. Re-run Sideloadly and check the log for 'Done'.
The app says 'Untrusted Developer' again after a few days
Free Apple ID certificates expire after 7 days. Re-sign the IPA using Sideloadly, then trust the certificate again. See the IPA expired guide.
Do I need to trust it again after re-signing?
Yes. Each time you sign with Sideloadly (even with the same Apple ID), a new certificate is issued. You'll need to trust it again in Settings.
