iGlide LocationChanger on Mac
macOS does not require iTunes. Your Mac handles iPhone communication via Finder. Follow these steps to get started.
No iTunes needed on Mac
Unlike Windows, macOS includes the necessary drivers built into the OS. You only need the original Apple USB cable and macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later.
Setup Steps
- 1
Download and install iGlide for macOS
Download the .dmg file. Open it, drag iGlide LocationChanger to Applications, and launch it.
- 2
Enable Developer Mode on your iPhone (iOS 16+)
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode. Toggle it ON. Your iPhone will prompt you to restart — tap Restart. After reboot, tap Turn On to confirm. You may need to enter your passcode.
Note: If you do not see Developer Mode in Settings, connect your iPhone to the Mac first, then check again.
- 3
Connect iPhone to Mac with original Apple cable
Use the Lightning or USB-C cable that came with your iPhone. Connect it directly to a Mac USB port (not a hub or adapter if possible).
- 4
Tap 'Trust' on your iPhone
A dialog appears: 'Trust This Computer?' — tap Trust and enter your device passcode. Your Mac may also prompt 'Allow accessory to connect?' — click Allow.
Warning: If you tap Don't Trust, iGlide cannot see your device. Fix this by going to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Location & Privacy.
- 5
Select device in iGlide and connect
Open iGlide LocationChanger. Your iPhone should appear in the device picker. Select it and click Connect. The map loads in a few seconds.
- 6
Set a virtual GPS location
Search for a location or click anywhere on the map. Click 'Move Here'. Open Maps or any app to verify the GPS has changed.
Common macOS Issues
iPhone not showing in iGlide on Mac
Make sure you tapped Trust on your iPhone and clicked Allow on the Mac dialog. Try a different USB port or cable, and restart both devices.
Mac prompts 'Allow accessory to connect?' repeatedly
This is normal on macOS Ventura+. Always click Allow. If it keeps appearing, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and check USB accessory permissions.
Developer Mode toggle is grayed out
Disconnect your iPhone, go back to Settings, then reconnect. The toggle should become active once a computer connection is detected.
